Former experienced University Tutor (2012), helped Mayo nurse to pass her online Biochemistry course. High School Science Teacher for 3 years, two of which were as a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi. The third year was at an exclusively Native American school in New Mexico. Chemistry Laboratory Instructor at Wofford College. Although I decided that being a classroom teacher is not the career for me, I still enjoying my passion for science and math with others, especially people interested in becoming conversant in these subjects. I am trained as a Smokechaser, or wildland firefighter, by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

I am a very active person and enjoy bicycling, running, and soccer (though being on my third right ACL, my days for this may be over..). I have done a few self-supported bicycle tours across the United States and covered over 4,000 miles. I also enjoy working with my hands: my trades include carpentry, electrical, and roofing. I am rebuilding a house in Spring Valley on the side.
